MMAYHA Board Mandated COVID Protocol

This mandate shall be in effect beginning at 12:00A.M. on Thursday February 3rd, 2022 (02/03/2022) and continue through 11:59P.M. Wednesday March 16th, 2022 (03/16/2022).

RE: Covid-19 Quarantine/Close Contact Guidance

 

This mandate shall be in effect beginning at 12:00A.M. on Thursday February 3rd, 2022 (02/03/2022) and continue through 11:59P.M. Wednesday March 16th, 2022 (03/16/2022).

 

**It will be the responsibility of the family to comply with this mandate. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action**

 

If the player has symptoms of COVID-19 or tests positive for COVID-19, then you must isolate days until all the following conditions are met:

  • Five (5) days since onset of symptoms and

    • Day one (1) of the five (5) day period is your first full day after your symptoms develop.

  • Twenty-four (24) hours with no fever (without the use of fever-reducing medications) and

  • Other symptoms of COVID-19 are improving (excluding loss of taste and smell)

  • If you tested positive and were asymptomatic, then you may leave isolation after the full five (5) day period if you remained asymptomatic.

 

If the player has been in close contact (defined below) of COVID-19 and does not show symptoms of COVID-19, then the player must quarantine for the following length of time:

  • Five (5) days after last exposure

 

A close contact is defined by any of the following:

  • Within six (6) feet of a positive person(s) for more than fifteen (15) minutes within a twenty-four (24) hour period

  • Physical contact with the person

  • Direct contact with the respiratory system of the person (i.e., from coughing, sneezing, contact with dirty tissue, shared drinking glass (water bottle), food, towels, or other personal items)

  • Live with the person or stayed overnight for at least one night in a household with the person. 

 

Someone who has been fully vaccinated and shows no symptoms of COVID-19 does not need to quarantine. However, fully vaccinated close contacts should consider:

  • Wearing a mask indoors in public for 10 days following exposure or until a negative test result.

  • Getting tested 5 days after close contact

  • Getting tested and isolate immediately if experiencing any symptoms.

 

**Proof of vaccination may be required by if you have been found to be out of compliance with the above scenarios and continue to participate in association sponsored activities**
