December Newsletter – Edition Three

Battle at the Rec – Bantam Success

A big shout-out to our Bantam team for hosting the Battle at the Rec Tournament this past weekend. Fantastic job to all involved — great hockey, teamwork, and sportsmanship on display!

Mite Madness Tournament

Good luck to the Mites as they host their Mite Madness Tournament this weekend!

If you’re near the rink, be sure to stop by to cheer them on — you might even spot Santa.

Bantam Head Coach Applications

The Bantam Head Coach application window is December 10–14, 2025 (closes at 5:00 PM). Special thanks to Coach Jimi, Coach Kyle, and Coach Kirby for their continued leadership and support through this transition.

Communication & Social Media Policy

The Board of Directors approved a new Communication and Social Media Policy, effective December 10, 2025. You can view the full policy under the About Us tab on our website. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in upholding these important standards.

Athletic Trainer & SWAY Testing

Athletic Trainer Services were present for the recent home tournament — thank you to Aurora Medical Center - BayArea for their continued support!

SWAY baseline testing for Bantam and High School skaters will take place on Thursday, December 18. More information regarding this will come from your Team Manager.

Volunteer Opportunities

New volunteer slots are now posted — please check often and sign up when you can.

We’ve heard that coverage, to include for home Shamrock games has been difficult to fill, so please lend a hand if you’re able. Huge thanks to Bobbi Baty, our Concession Chair, for her tireless work keeping this running. The funds raised through these efforts are critical to our program’s success and low registration fees.

52 Gun Raffle – Last Call

Final week to purchase tickets for the 52 Gun Raffle Giveaway!

Tickets are $100, with $25 from each sale directly benefiting our program.

The deadline to purchase is December 17, 2025 — contact Nikki Schingick if you’d like one of the remaining tickets.

We’ve met our goal of 50 tickets but more are available — thank you to those who have supported this fundraiser!

Checking Clinic Update

Our Director of Hockey continues to try and coordinate with USA Hockey’s Dan Jablonic on scheduling a Checking Clinic. Finding the right date has been challenging, but we’re actively working on it (and the possibility of other resources) and will share details once confirmed.

Dryland Training

Dryland training for Squirts, Peewees, and Bantams is underway — thank you to Kevin and Megan for helping make it possible! This is a great opportunity for our players to build strength, endurance, and teamwork. The program will be evaluated for potential continuation into 2026.

Fundraising Reminder

Raffle ticket and candy bar sales are due by February 1, 2026.

If you’d like to sell additional items, please contact Sam Wilke.

Every sale directly supports our program and helps us provide resources for all teams.

Holiday Break

There will be no practices the week of Christmas.

Enjoy the break, relax, and spend time with your families.

Good Luck, Thunder!

Wishing all of our teams and players the best of luck in their upcoming games and tournaments! Keep playing with heart, teamwork, and Thunder pride.

Thank You
